Don’t get me wrong some people that create modern art are very talented people, and the pieces below are actually fairly good but I really dont get how bricks on the floor.. or a carrot juxaposed to a beetroot can be in anyway considered art.
Below are a couple of pieces that I saw in the Manchester Art Gallery.
Admittedly this looks more like a set from the Simpsons but it deos have striking colours and contrasts.
This piece was painted after the artist saw a documentary on human cells and DNA (chromosomes) found it fasinating and decided to visualise some splats on a canvas
