Just thought you also might like to know that Mike writes all his own tracks and when recording, he plays every instrument on the track (including violin, mandolin, acoustic guitar, reed organ and djembe etc).
I completely and utterly agree with you. I’m off to Holmfirth Folk Festival tomorrow to see Ottersgear, Mike also plays fiddle for Dan Haywoods New Hawks too, they will also be there.
I saw Ottersgear at the Preston Beer Festival last Saturday and the performance was amazing.
Having to pause whilst writing this out as its really good music. not usually my thing but really lovely to hear.
